The moon moves in front of the sun to start a partial eclipse, photographed through a 760 mm telescope with a solar filter in Toronto Monday December 25, 2000. The eclipse magnitude or fraction of the sun's diameter eclipsed in Toronto was about 59 per cent. This was the final eclipse of the second millennium.(CP PHOTO/Aaron Harris)
