Trudeau calls for pandemic vigilance amid new modelling figures

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says Canadians must continue to follow public health guidelines to slow the spread of COVID-19 as modelling suggests case counts could hit 12,000 per day by the start of January. Speaking at an announcement in Ottawa, Trudeau says vaccines are bringing hope for 2021, but warns of a long, cold winter ahead before vaccines become widely available to Canadians.
