A coroner's jury that examined the fatal police shooting of a 26-year-old Indigenous woman in New Brunswick two years ago has ruled her death a homicide, and is recommending an independent body or agency to oversee cases of police use of force, and to ensure policy is understood by all police in the province. The three-woman, two-man jury released its recommendations Thursday following four days of testimony into the death of Chantel Moore.
