LGBTQ+ activists across French-speaking Africa face a large funding gap compared to English-speaking countries, and face different challenges. The Montreal-based group Égides was set up with help from the Quebec government to advocate for French-speaking LGBTQ+ people abroad. (Dec. 9, 2024)
