Newsroom Ready: Smith and Ford agree to increase trade, study new pipelines and rail lines

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith and Ontario Premier Doug Ford have agreed to a feasibility study of new pipelines and rail lines between provinces while increasing interprovincial trade of alcohol and vehicles. They signed memorandums of understanding after flipping pancakes at a Calgary Stampede breakfast and say Canada's economy needs to be more resilient in the face of U.S. tariffs. (July 7, 2025)
