B.C.’s spot prawn season is wrapping up this week after a harvest hit by a 25 per cent tariff from China, the biggest export market for the prawns. But those who focus on the local market, including Vancouver fisherman Stewart McDonald, say there hasn’t been any slowdown in domestic demand for the delicacy, fresh off the boat. (June 9, 2025)
