Sikh groups ask Carney to rescind Modi invite

Sikh groups are calling on Prime Minister Mark Carney to revoke his invitation to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the G7 summit in Alberta next week. Balpreet Singh, spokesman for the World Sikh Organization of Canada, says the invitation is a betrayal of the community and of Canada's core values of sovereignty, self-determination, justice and the rule of law.
