US-Japan relations take centre stage at 80th anniversary of Battle of Iwo Jima

U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth praised the strong friendship between U.S. and Japan at the 80th anniversary of Battle of Iwo Jima. Japan’s Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba meanwhile praised the "noble sacrifices" of those who died in the war.
