Thailand town keeps ancient Tie-dye textile craftsmanship alive
Tie-dye - it's synonymous with exotic travel off the beaten path with rucksack and flip flops in tow. The artisan craft of indigo textile dyeing dates back many centuries and remains popular today, but modern versions using chemical dyes instead of natural indigo have flooded the market. In the small town of Sakon Nakhon in northeastern Thailand, the original, ancient craft is being kept alive in the face of modern challenges. (AP video shot and produced by Annika Wolters)
