Losing faith? how a rare version of Christianity is heading for extinction in rural Japan
A rare version of Christianity looks to be heading towards extinction in rural Japan. Nagasaki's 'Hidden Christians' emerged from isolation in 1865, following more than 200 years of violent persecution by Japan’s insular warlord rulers. But now, with many worshipers aging, and younger generations moving away to cities, there is a growing certainty that their unique version of the religion will soon disappear.
