Canadians mark 75th anniversary of D-Day at Juno Beach in France

Thousands of Canadians gathered in the French town of Courseulles-sur-Mer on Thursday to commemorate the 75th anniversary of D-Day. It was in Courseulles-sur-Mer and other places along an eight-kilometre stretch of the Normandy coast, now known as Juno Beach, that 14,000 Canadians stormed ashore on June 6, 1944 to help liberate Europe from Nazi Germany.
