Trudeau says he is taking seriously the recent action by China to block canola imports from Canada

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says his government is considering sending a high-level delegation to China to see if they can work out a solution to the Chinese decision to block imports of Canadian canola. A statement on China's General Administration of Customs website said officials detected several hazardous organisms in canola shipments from Regina-based Viterra Inc. The Chinese government gave the same reason for earlier blocking canola shipped by Winnipeg-based Richardson International.
