The doors of the Eaton Centre as they open for the first time in Toronto, Ont., on the morning of Thursday, Feb. 10, 1977, to admit customers to the huge, new downtown shopping complex. After a ribbon-cutting ceremony that included Ontario Premier William Davis, Lt.-Gov. Pauline McGibbon and Toronto Mayor David Crombie, the 120 stores in the Centre were open for business.
