Iranians visit the Iran-Iraq border line at shalamcheh border southwest of Iran, March 2006. Iraq closed its borders with Iran for 3 days or more after a new US army commander for Baghdad claimed that the side road bombs that killed 170 US soldiers and Iraqi people had been came to Iraq from Iran but they reopened the border after 3 days. 'Shalamche' is the main border gate of Iran and Iraq near the city of Khoramshahr. After 8 years Iran-Iraq war (1980-88) Iranian government let the Iranians go to visit the remained Iraqi vehicles and the borderline as a memorial of the imposed war on Iran.Photo by Hassan Ghaedi/ParsPix/ABACAPRESS.COM
