Newsroom Ready: Freeland says new NAFTA in Canada's best interest

Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland says she hopes Parliament will be able to ratify the new North American free trade pact as soon as possible. Opposition parties however are still waiting to see the full text of the modified agreement before giving their consent. The Liberals now need at least one of the parties to vote for the deal to get it passed in a minority government situation.
