A Chinese worker wheels a cart stacked with minks to a holding pen on a large scale mink farm on the outskirts of Harbin in Heilongjiang Province, China on December 2, 2008. Mink farmers usually breed female mink once a year and the pelts are harvested in the late fall, early winter and the best animals are held over until the next year to restock the farm. The mink is the most commonly farmed animal for its fur with China ranked as the largest importer and re-exporter of fur in the world. China supplies more than half of the finished fur garments imported for sale in the United States. Photo by Simon Lim/Pictobank/ABACAPRESS.COM
