Morneau names Bank of Canada's former No. 2 as new governor

Finance Minister Bill Morneau has announced that Tiff Macklem will take over as governor of the Bank of Canada in June. Macklem is the bank’s former senior deputy governor, and was widely seen as a top candidate in 2013 when Stephen Poloz got the job instead.
