Manitoba’s Education minister wants to mend bridges with stakeholders after controversial education bill scrapped

Manitoba’s Minister of Education spoke to media Thursday a day after the province’s new interim leader announced plans to scrap a controversial bill that would have overhauled the province's education system. Cliff Cullen said Bill 64, which would have eliminated all English-language elected school boards and centralized decision-making, is a matter of the past and he wants to move forward with his door open to any discussion.
