Christmas tree growers in B.C. say they face a brown festive season as record high temperatures have turned prized green trees brown. Robert Russell, who has been growing Christmas trees on Vancouver Island for more than 50 years, says the heat dome was too hot for some sought after fir trees and turned their green needles brown.
