Scientists call on federal government for pay raise

Dozens of scientists and researchers gathered on Parliament Hill to present a 60-metre-long open letter signed by thousands of their colleagues, calling on the federal government to boost funding. The group says many graduate and post-doctoral scholars receive funding from three federal agencies, but often the scholarships amount to less than minimum wage.
