EDMONTON. x--17s. A 23-year-old man is accused of forging Connor McDavid's signature on Oilers jerseys and selling the gear as part of an alleged fraud scheme. Edmonton police say alleged victims were contacted by someone claiming to be with either the Oilers or Edmonton sports memorabilia retailer Pro Am Sports about investing in the jerseys that were supposedly hot buys. Investigators say five people have laid complaints so far and the losses amount to more than 30-thousand dollars. Pro Am Sports president Jack Cookson says there's a valuable lesson to be learned from this case.
