Gaza advocates urge Canada to apply pressure to end suffering amid partial ceasefire

Advocates for Palestinians are urging Ottawa to do more to address the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza, saying the release of Israeli hostages hasn't stopped preventable deaths and violence in the enclave. Fareed Khan, the head of Canadians United Against Hate, says children are dying from hypothermia because of Israel's restrictions on aid reaching Palestinians in the territory. (Dec. 23, 2025)
