1970 ROYAL TOUR -- QUEEN ELIZABETH II -- VISITS TO CANADA -- The first official act of the Royal Family's northern tour was performed by Queen Elizabeth II, centre, when she turns the first sod at the site where the new Anglican Cathedral will be built in Frobisher Bay (now Iqaluit in Nunavut), July 5, 1970.
