An intimate portrait of two women, a painting of young men at a spring and a film of dancers in flowing fabric are among the works now on view in Düsseldorf. The exhibition 'Queer Modernism 1900 to 1950' brings together more than 130 pieces to explore the role LGBTQ artists played in shaping modernism during the first half of the twentieth century.
