Cliff Chapman, operations chief for the BC Wildfire Service, says a drying trend starting this weekend could increase the potential for more fires in British Columbia. He says there's no area of the province that is free of wildfire hazard, while Minister of Forests Ravi Parmar notes an uptick in fire activity since last week. (Aug. 6, 2025)
