Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino announced the government is working with an industry association to develop a process for compensating retailers who have assault-style firearms in stock that the federal Liberals banned in 2020. Raquel Dancho, the Conservatives' public safety critic, says the move does nothing to reduce crime.
