MPs unanimously vote for plan to resettle 10,000 Uyghurs

Members of Parliament voted unanimously to call on Ottawa to start a refugee program to resettle 10,000 Uyghurs fleeing persecution in China, which Liberal MP Sameer Zuberi said sends a strong signal to the world. He was joined by Mehmet Tohti, executive director, Uyghur Rights Advocacy Project, who said his own family has been targeted in China for his advocacy.
