Newsroom Ready: Regional chief, federal minister offer condolences after body of another Indigenous woman found in landfill

Assembly of First Nations regional chief Cindy Woodhouse, who represents Manitoba, says her thoughts are with the family of Linda Mary Beardy, whose body was recently discovered in a Winnipeg landfill. Indigenous Services Minister Patty Hajdu also reflected on the crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau offered his condolences to Beardy's family and the larger Indigenous community and says the federal government needs to do more to end the epidemic of violence that Indigenous women and girls face.
