Government moves to end military authority to invesitage, prosecute sex crimes

Defence Minister Bill Blair has introduced amendments to the National Defence Act that would remove the military’s authority to investigate and prosecute sexual offences under the Criminal Code. That was recommended by former Supreme Court justice Louise Arbour in 2021. (March 21, 2024)
