B.C. may work with N.L. on court challenge of federal equalization payments

British Columbia Premier David Eby says his province will consider joining Newfoundland and Labrador on its court challenge of federal equalization payments, in a bid to receive "fair treatment" from Ottawa. Eby, who hosted Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Andrew Furey in Vancouver, has been critical of the federal government giving “special treatment” to Quebec and Ontario. (June 13, 2024)
