Canadian incomes rose amid pandemic benefits: census

New census data released by Statistics Canada show that Canadian incomes trended 9.8 per cent higher during the early pandemic than five years earlier. André Bernard, the agency’s chief of the centre for income and socioeconomic well-being, said the median after-tax household income in 2020 was $73,000.
