Ray McKinlet Drummer Glen Miller Band

Couples dance in the style of the 1940s as drummer Ray McKinley leads the Glenn Miller band at a policemen’s ball in Niagara Falls, New York on Nov. 25, 1963. The band, reconstituted by McKinley eight years ago, is having rough going. It’s not like the days when Miller, who died in World War II, led one of the big bands of swing days. The band’s fans now are the youngsters of that era, a generation older. (AP Photo/Dave Pickoff)
