Health workers say local response to massacre not heard during inquest

Health-care workers from the James Smith Cree Nation say a coroner’s inquest looking into a massacre is not hearing about the community’s response. Mike Marion, the First Nation’s health director, and Cindy Ghostkeeper-Whitehead, a family wellness worker, expressed frustration there’s no mention of the First Nation’s first responders and that the inquest is only hearing the third-party response to the tragedy.
