Poilievre to introduce housing bill

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre took aim at Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s housing policies at a media availability in Vancouver, B.C., where he announced plans to introduce a bill dubbed the Building Homes, Not Bureaucracy Act. Poilievre says the bill contains measures including requirements for cities to permit 15 per cent more homebuilding each year or lose federal funding and for Ottawa to sell off 15 per cent of its properties as well as thousands of acres of federal land in order to build more homes. (Sept. 14, 2023)
