'Deeper conversation' on MAID takes time: Holland

Health Minister Mark Holland says putting off the expansion of eligibility for medically assisted dying to people who solely suffer from mental illness will give the public more time to have deeper conversations about the policy at a cultural level. Holland says he struggled with his own mental health 13 years ago after a major political loss left him in despair and he attempted suicide. (Feb. 6, 2024)
