Actor Richard Todd, who portrayed Wing Commander Guy Gibson in 'The Dambusters' film, in conversation with Mrs G. Gibson, widow of Wing Commander Gibson, during a reception at the Royal Air Force Association headquarters in Portland Place, London. The Duchess of Gloucester attended the reception and received cheques for over £20,000, representing collections taken in cinema foyers during the showing of 'The Dambusters'. The money will be devoted to the welfare work of the Association and RAF personnel.
