With no orthodox head and much of the torso hollowed out, this Festival sculpture of a 'Reclining Figure' is shown receiving a careful survey from Mary Moore, daughter of sculptor Henry Moore, at his home at Perry Gardens, Much Hadham, Hertfordshire. The work, which has taken Mr Moore eight months to do, is to be displayed at the South Bank Exhibition during the Festival of Britain. It was commissioned by the Arts Council of Great Britain.
