Bread Cartel ClassAction 20191221

A loaf of sliced bread is shown in Toronto on February 3, 2018. Karim Renno says his recently authorized class action lawsuit against major food retailers accused of fixing the price of bread across Canada is special, because a major player has already admitted to participating in it. Price-fixing is notoriously difficult to prove in court, the lawyer said in an interview Friday, but in this case, Loblaws Inc. and Canada's Competition Bureau have done a lot of the work.
