Italian art expert Mauricio Seracini in his office in front of a detail of Leonardo's 'The Adoration of the Magi'. Seracini says he is on the verge of discovering a long-lost Leonardo da Vinci masterpiece 'The Battle of Anghiari' hidden in a secret cavity behind a palace wall in Florence, Italy. Seracini used thermographic, ultra sound, ultra-violet and infra-red diagnostic techniques to concludes that only the underdrawing had been done by Leonardo da Vinci, the paint surface having been added latter by another artist. And the horseman seems a study for The Battle of Anghiari. Photo by Eric Vandeville/ABACAPRESS.COM
