Italian art expert Mauricio Seracini in the Palazzo VecchioÕs grand ceremonial chamber, the Hall of 500, in front of Vasari's fresco 'The Battle of Marciano'. Leonardo's 'The Battle of Anghiari' should be hidden behind this fresco. Seracini says he is on the verge of discovering a long-lost Leonardo da Vinci masterpiece 'The Battle of Anghiari' hidden in a secret cavity behind a palace wall in Florence, Italy. Seracini used thermographic, ultra sound, ultra-violet and infra-red diagnostic techniques to concludes that only the underdrawing had been done by Leonardo da Vinci, the paint surface having been added latter by another artist. And the horseman seems a study for The Battle of Anghiari. Photo by Eric Vandeville/ABACAPRESS.COM
