George William Harding, CMG, CVO, whose appointment as HM Ambassador to Brazil was confirmed today. He succeeds the late Mr GE Hall. Mr Harding was born in London in 1927 and educated at St John's Cambridge, after three years in the Royal Marines. He joined the Foreign Service in 1950 and is married with four sons.
