Padina and her mother pose for a picture whit her classmates in a mosque in Isfahan, Iran on 29 February, 2012. When a Muslim girl reaches puberty, she has to wear the head scarf and cover her body but the face and hands. In the Shiite dominated Iran, schools held a festivity to celebrate the puberty of the schoolgirls at the age of nine in which they call it "Jashn-e Taklif" (Responsibility celebration). According to the Islamic Sharia when a girl reaches the age of puberty (which is around nine in Iran), she becomes a woman and must start saying her daily prayers. even though some families, whom are not religious, accompany their girls in school to celebrate it. The festival has become a special day for schoolgirls that they enjoy celebrating it but not all of them perform their prayers and cover their body after nine.
