The first Concorde to be given a new home following its retirement last week takes off from London’s Heathrow Airport Friday October 31, 2003 to travel to its final resting point at Manchester Airport. BA ended speculation yesterday as to where the iconic planes would spend their retirement with the announcement that three Concordes would be given permanent homes overseas, with the remaining four being kept in the UK.
