WEATHER Swithins 7

PREMIUM --

Library filer dated 15/7/2003 of a person indicating the temperature on the beach at Bournemouth. One year on, the same day of crowded sands and temperatures in the 30s has been replaced by murky cloud, and temperatures just touching 20C. Under the old adage, if it rains today it will pour for a further 40 days, but if it stays fair, Britain can expect to recover the summer that disappeared in May. See PA story WEATHER Swithins. PA photo: Chris Ison.
