BRITAIN ROYAL
Britain's Queen Elizabeth II sits alone before unveiling a plaque, right, to officially reopen the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, England, Wednesday Dec. 2, 2009. The museum opened to the public on Nov. 7, after a 61 million pound (US$ 101,411,330: euro 67,165,500) redevelopment including a new building providing a hundred per cent more display space. The Ashmolean, opened in 1683, is a teaching and research department of the University of Oxford. The collections span the civilisations of east and west, charting the aspirations of mankind from the Neolithic era to the present day.(AP Photo/Steve Parsons, pool)
