HEALTH Valsartan Study 20191111

Paramedics are seen at the Dartmouth General Hospital in Dartmouth, N.S. on July 4, 2013. It seems that hospital emergency visits spiked after a large recall of contaminated blood pressure and heart medications last year. A study by the non-profit group Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences says emergency department visits by hypertension patients jumped 55 per cent in the month after Health Canada recalled some valsartan products.
