Iranian women covered their faces, light candles during the 'Chehel Manbar' (Fourty Pulpit) ceremony a day before Ashura (The ninth day of the mourning lunar month of Moharram), in the city of Khorramabad, 470 kms southwest of Tehran, Iran, on November 24, 2012. Iranian women walk bare-feet to light 40 candles in designated places in downtown Khorramabad from early in the morning of Tasua to commemorate Seventh century slaying of Grandson of Prophet Mohammed, Imam Hussein and his sister Zeinab who was taken as a prisoner after the war with Yezid Bin Muaviah on the Ashura day.
