RAF MOSQUITO: A Royal Air Force De Havilland Mosquito aircraft in flight. 1944. The Mosquito was used in both a reconnaissance and bombing role, including operations over the German capital, Berlin. 16/10/04: More than 150 veteran airmen who flew the daring and nimble Mosquito planes during the Second World War were meeting Saturday October 16, 2004, for their final reunion. The Mosquito Aircrew Association is gathering for the last time because of the elderly age of its members. They will meet at the Royal Air Force Museum in north west London to reminisce and inspect one of the planes they used to fly. Picture part of PA Second World War collection.
