Design students from across the country were asked to nominate the best and worst of world design, and more than three in four (76%) believed Britain has the best product design skills, ahead of Scandinavia (64%) and the Far East (43%). Individual products also came in for praise, as they voted Dyson's dual cyclone vacuum cleaner the best design ever, and the 1960's classic Mini Cooper car as an icon of the twentieth century.
