ROYAL Coach 2

PREMIUM --

***EMBARGOED. NOT FOR PUBLICATION UNTIL 10.15 Friday 31 May, 2002*** Assistant Carriage Restorer David Evans brushes a step on the Gold State Coach in preparation for the celebrations this weekend of the Golden Jubilee of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II. The Queen will use the carriage, normally kept at the Royal Mews, for the first time since her Silver Jubilee in 1977, when she travels Tuesday from Buckingham Palace to a special service at St Paul's Cathedral. The coach was built for King George III in 1762: its construction then cost £7,562 4s 3d. PA Photo: Matthew Fearn. WPA Rota.
